RELEASE NOTES
HX STOMP PRESETS NOW INCLUDED BOTH "ALL IN" & "AMPS" PRESETS!
The Matchless DC30 is one of the most legendary combo amps of the past 30 years and is widely used by touring and session pros across many genres of music. We have played many backlined DC30s on the road and ours is truly an exceptional-sounding example. We spent time fitting it with hand-selected vintage preamp and power tubes to give us just the right amount of headroom and excellent breakup characteristics. This amp and preset can sound clean like a Vox, or raunchy like a 100-watt Marshall (and everything in between).
The DC30 is EL84 based and has two channels. Channel 1 is more vox-like in tone, using two 12AX7's in the preamp and Channel 2 is EF86-based for a different flavor of breakup. The DC30 houses two different speakers which are Matchless Special Designed 25w and 30w greenback variants. We captured every tonal aspect of this amp and this download includes all of it - both channels individually as well as jumped through each speaker for a total of 16 presets and 24 IRs

FOOTSWITCH ASSIGNMENTS [TF DC30 AMPS ONLY]
-
+3dB clean gain boost ON/OFF. Useful for a lead volume/gain boost. By default, this block is BEFORE the amps so it pushes them, causing more compression and breakup. You can experiment with moving the gain block AFTER the amps for a cleaner volume boost without added gain.
-
High-Cut ON/OFF. Experiment with this setting and see which you prefer with your pickups.
OPTIONAL - EXTERNAL AUX SWITCH NEEDED:
- FS4 Tremolo ON/OFF.
- FS5 Spring Reverb ON/OFF.

PICKUPS & GUITAR
The "S" at the end of the preset name indicates the patch was tailored to single-coil pickups. The main difference is some small EQ tweaks in the midrange in the post amp/IR EQ. Regardless of what pickups you have, it is recommended to test out both patches and see which one suits your tastes and guitar better. Feel free to save a copy of the preset and experiment with the EQ, or any other elements of the patch to tune it as you please.
MONO VS STEREO OPERATION
This patch can be used in either mono or stereo (recommended).
